Xinfeng (新丰县) is a county in southern [Shaoguan](https://shaoguantea.com/glossary/shaoguan/), home to Yunji Mountain (云髻山), the highest peak in the region at 1,438m. The mountain's high altitude and granite-rich soil create ideal conditions for oolong tea with pronounced floral aromas.
Xinfeng produces both oolong (jasmine-like floral notes, creamy texture) and high-mountain organic green tea (hand-picked, spring-only harvest). The area also has a rare wild rock oolong (岩乌) made from ancient trees on Yunji Mountain, with a mineral-lingering finish.
