Shixing (始兴县) is a county in northeastern [Shaoguan](https://shaoguantea.com/glossary/shaoguan/), situated along the Nanling mountain range. It is recognized as a National Ecological Organic Agriculture Demonstration Area, with extensive organic-certified tea gardens.
Shixing's signature is the 'Three Rivers' (三江) black tea, named after the Zheng, Mo, and Quan rivers that converge here — producing a malty, honey-like sweetness. The county also produces high-mountain green tea and rare wild red tea from ancient tree varieties.
Elevation: 500–1,200m. Terrain: Nanling mountain slopes with subtropical monsoon climate, constant mist. Known for: organic tea, Three Rivers black tea, ecological agriculture.
